Teams must play in the District (State) Championships regardless of placement in any Regional D1 Qualifier. Teams do not have to play in any Tournament to be eligible for the District (State) Championship. It could be your first AAU Tournament of the year.

North Carolina District will offer to the Teams a East Championship (Kinston & Goldsboro) and West Championship (Morganton) this year. Both East & West Championships Qualify Teams for National Championships D1 & D2.
A D2 team does not have to win because all D2 Teams will be eligible to play in the National D2 Tournaments. D2 National Tournaments are OPEN & teams do not have to qualify by winning any tournament. 

D1 Teams do have to Qualify and must play in the District (State) Championships.
